Indian History and Genealogy

INDIAN HISTORY AND GENEALOGY AS IT PERTAINS TO THE GOOD SACHEM MASSASOIT

It is my pleasure to make this extraordinary book available to the public. It is my understanding that it is not to be found in most libraries, and even though it was apparently reprinted at one time, copies cannot be found for purchase. I hope you enjoy the historical treasures and genealogical gems it contains as much as I have.

CONSIDER VOLUNTEERING TO PUT HISTORY BOOKS ONLINE

David Blackwell has been busy OCR-scanning many books of historic and genealogical value to the New England researcher. Some of these books have been edited by volunteers and are presently online, and others are scanned and awaiting new volunteers. He has recently moved these books to the USIGS Library. See what else he has available, and help if you can.

MY NIPMUC NEIGHBORS

I have started a collection of Indian vital records, slave lists and genealogy reports mostly pertaining to Indians from the praying towns of Massachusetts after the King Philip War. There are also some extraordinary essays gifted to me by my Nipmuc neighbors in and around Worcestor.

NEW ENGLAND INDIANS

I have had several requests to put up some of my other pages pertaining to the New England Indians, but it has been a busy summer and I haven't found the time. As luck would have it, somehow my old website on Rootsweb came back to life, so I will provide a link here to the stories and reports there until I have a chance to move them. Some of these are included in the Nipmuc material above. Please disregard the header site map as the database and forum no longer exist.
